Khanewal: DPO Holds 'Khuli Kachehri' to Resolve Public Grievances on the Spot

KHANEWAL :In a major step toward community-centric policing, District Police Officer (DPO) Khanewal, Muhammad Abid, hosted an open court (Khuli Kachehri) at the Makhdoompur Police Station to directly address the grievances of local citizens.

During the session, DPO Abid listened to complaints firsthand from residents and requested immediate feedback from the relevant police officers present. He issued strict directives to ensure swift, merit-based relief on all applications. For several complex cases, the district police chief ordered transparent and immediate formal inquiries.

"Providing swift and indiscriminate justice to citizens at their very doorstep is our top priority," DPO Muhammad Abid emphasized during the address. "The ultimate goal of holding these open courts is to bridge the gap between the public and the police, strengthen mutual trust, and ensure that the problems of ordinary citizens are resolved without delay."

The open court was well-attended by regional notables, community elders, and various local applicants who presented their issues directly to the leadership.

Senior police leadership, including Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Saeed Sial and Makhdoompur Station House Officer (SHO) Raja Usman, were also present to assist the DPO and accept direct instructions for immediate implementation on the ground.
